It's Time To Choose.

Today is Election Day. Across the country, millions of people are stepping into voting booths to cast their ballots, making a definitive choice about what they want the future to look like.

But there’s another critical election happening today, one that doesn’t require a civic ballot box, yet will fundamentally dictate what your life and livelihood look like next year. In this election, you are the sole voter, and the polls are officially open.

The candidates on YOUR ballot? Planning and aggressively growing your business versus doing the SOS: the Same-Old-Stuff.

It’s easy to default to the SOS. The Same-Old-Stuff is deeply comfortable. It’s familiar. You know exactly what your daily headaches will be, you know roughly what your revenue will look like, and you don’t have to risk your ego trying something new.

But predictably, surviving isn't the same as thriving. If you want next year to be a breakthrough year, you have to actively cast a vote for growth. And let me tell you, voting for growth is usually the scariest choice on the ballot.

I know exactly how that fear feels. A number of years ago, I faced a massive choice when I was invited to appear on The Today Show on Election Day with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. It was an incredible opportunity to promote my coaching practice to a national audience.

But honestly? I was terrified. As I stood backstage, listening to the countdown to go live on national television, my heart pounded out of my chest. I could have easily chosen the comfortable route: stay behind my desk, play it safe, and keep doing the SOS. But I knew that if I wanted my practice to reach the next level, I had to step out of the shadows and under those bright studio lights.

I had to vote for my own growth, despite the fear. And that single choice changed the trajectory of my practice forever.

Growth requires you to make decisions before you feel fully "ready." It demands that you build a strategic plan, commit to new actions, and put yourself in rooms (or on television sets) that intimidate you. If you don't intentionally plan for that growth now, next year will simply repeat this year.

The choice is entirely yours. Are you going to keep doing the Same-Old-Stuff, or are you going to step up and build the business you actually want?

Take Action: Open your calendar right now and block out one uninterrupted hour this week. During that hour, shut off your phone and write down the single biggest, scariest move you need to make in the next 90 days to guarantee your business doesn't look exactly the same a year from now.
